Millwork Assembler
Description

Ameriscan Designs, renowned for its expertise in architectural millwork and custom cabinetry, is seeking skilled and detail‑oriented Millwork Assembler to join our production team. This role plays a critical part in the final stages of fabrication, assembling precision‑machined components and their specified hardware into fully finished millwork products that meet the high standards of our commercial clients. The ideal candidate demonstrates craftsmanship, accuracy, the ability to interpret detailed shop drawings and work as a team to achieve production goals. The shift is 6:00am - 2:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble custom millwork components, including cabinets, drawers, lockers, and shelving.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, cut sheets, and assembly diagrams with accuracy.
  • Inspect components prior to assembly to verify CNC accuracy, material quality, and readiness for build.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools including drills, table saws, clamps, sanders, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Glue, screw, clamp, and dowel components with precision to ensure structural integrity and proper alignment.
  • Install hardware such as drawer slides, hinges, pulls, leveling feet, locks, and specialty components.
  • Fit and attach drawer faces, doors, drawer boxes and applied panels to meet tight tolerances and aesthetic requirements.
  • Perform final quality checks on assembled units to ensure compliance with shop drawings and Ameriscan’s craftsmanship standards.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies, missing parts, or fabrication issues to shift leads or project managers.
  • Communicate material shortages, hardware needs, or drawing inconsistencies to supervisors.
  • Assist shift leads with staging materials, loading shipment items for delivery, organizing workstations, and prioritizing assemblies based on project deadlines.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in millwork assembly, cabinetry, woodworking, or a related field required.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
  • Understanding of cabinet construction methods, joinery, and hardware installation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Effective communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver materials and assembled units sometimes exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for extended periods.
  • Safely handle large panels, cabinet boxes, and assembled components.
